I've got another long time lemming to show you today!
Deborah Lippmann's Ray of Light is a dark blue jelly leaning polish, packed with flakies. It's. So. Awesomesauce.
I love flakie polishes, and have come to prefer the ones that come in a colored base, like this one, Joe Fresh - Twilight and Topshop - Gypsy Night.
Ray of Light, like all my Deborah Lippmann's, applies like a dream. Two coats cover the nail nicely, but I used three to cover up my nail line a bit more - I hate seeing it. Of course, you could always layer it over another polish, but I think then you'll lose some of the awesome 3D effect that you get with flakies.
I just can't get over how pretty it is! I'm seriously thinking about getting a back-up of it (and I don't say that often)! The flakie bits change color from copper to gold, to green and stand out really nicely against the dark blue base.
For my pics, which really don't do the polish justice, I used three coats of Ray of Light, over one coat of Orly Bonder.
