Sally Hansen - Red-y Response

Sally Hansen is one of the many companies that jumped on the magnetic polish bandwagon this year. I'm not too impressed with the collection - both the colors and shapes of the magnets seem too "been there, done that" for my liking. Plus, this magnetic collection is on the pricier side for drugstore polish - just under $10, which makes it even less appealing to me. For that price, I can almost get two China Glaze magnetic polishes.

I did however, want to try the polishes - mostly because I love Sally Hansen polish and I wanted to know what their contribution to the magnetic fad was like. So I was excited when  I received a bottle of Red-y Response in my last Influenster box.

Red-y Response is pretty awesome and it almost made me more interested in the rest of the collection. It applies like butter - I had absolutely no issues with the formula. Per the instructions I applied a coat of polish to all my nails, waited a bit and then applied a second coat and used the magnet nail by nail. The magnet was really easy to use. It has a little plastic lip you can use to rest the magnet on your finger, which makes this polish pretty much fool-proof.

I like it! Maybe not enough to pay almost ten bucks for it, but I'm glad I got to try it. Red-y Response looks especially awesome in bright sunlight, as  you'll see in my pics. Here's Red-y Response over a coat of Orly Bonder:

  1. Oh wow!! I love how it's so dark and then the magnetic bursts of magenta. So cool!

    1. Isn't it great? I couldn't stop looking at my nails!
