Floam, as most of you may know, is a highly sought after polish created by Amy of Nail Venturous. It can be purchased from Ninja Polish, although it is currently out of stock. If you want a bottle of Floam, make sure to sign up for e-mail notifications to stay up to date on re-stocks. Trying to buy Floam can be maddening, so the sooner you know it's back in stock, the better.
Floam consists of greenish yellow and neon blue matte glitters in a clear base. It's fun for layering, but by itself, it will be opaque in two or three coats.
I'm showing you three different Floam looks because I couldn't decide which one to post.
First is a Floam French mani. I used Orly Bare Rose as a base, one layer of Milani Key West for the tips, topped with two layers of Floam. I finished it with a couple of coats of Seche Vite.
Next, we have Floam over Spoiled Did I Dye it Too Blonde? (lol). Did I Dye it Too Blonde? is a neon yellow. It's fairly sheer, so you can actually make a neon Floam sandwich mani with it. Which I did, but didn't take pics of. Ugh. Anyway, here's two coats of Floam over DIDITB? topped with Seche:
For a matte version of this mani, I applied one coat of Hard Candy Matte-ly in Love:
My last experiment was Floam over Milani Key West. Key West is a gorgeous shimmery teal, and Floam looks great over it:
I did a matter version of this as well, once again topped with Hard Handy Matte-ly in Love:
So these are my Floam Day manis! I hope you enjoyed my pics, and don't forget to check back for links to other bloggers' posts! Happy Floam Day!
