Borghese - Menta

Menta is another beautiful Borghese polish I picked up on clearance from Rite Aid. It is a shimmery mint green.  I love mint green polish and this is one of my favorites, because of the subtle shimmer.

The first coat goes on really sheer - so sheer, it had me worried. The second coat, however, covers beautifully and if you lay it on thick, it will be opaque. Or, you could just use three thinner coats.  I usually love Borghese's stiff brushes, but this one was a little too stiff - I really had to be careful, or it'd dig into the polish already on the nail. Menta's formula was ok. It's a little runny and paired with the stiff brush, it was a little hard to control. All in all, though, it's a great color, and I'll put up with a crappy brush and runny formula for that.

I used three coats of Menta for my pics, over a coat of Seche Vite. No top coat.

  1. I'm sad to see Borghese disappearing--it took me a while to get over the dated-looking bottle but once I did, I found I liked so many of the colors.

P.S. Any chance you'd consider turning off word verification for comments? My eyes go all wonky trying to figure out the words.

    1. I agree. The bottles kept me from buying for a long time, too. Wish I would've paid attention sooner, because Borghese has/had some great glitters. And Yes! I'll turn it off right now :-)
